Our Team & Community

Our Story

Community of Faith is a Christian church that was established in 2010 and born out of a clear vision to be true to the Bible, faithful to Christ, winsome in witness, and passionate about sending people near and far to serve the Lord.

Our story is not about us. Our story is about Jesus: knowing Jesus, loving Jesus, living Jesus, and sharing life in Jesus. Our story is about family: family who serve together, pray together and worship together. Our story is a story of belonging, of healing, of life, of hope, of love. Our story is the continuation of God’s Story.

David Sorensen

David Sorensen came on board at Community of Faith as lead pastor in November 2011. He served 21 years as a pastor of growing churches in California, Washington, and North Dakota. Pastor Dave is married to Holly (of 29 years) and has a tribe of 6 grown kids. Pastor Dave finds his greatest joy being positioned in churches that want to grow spiritually and desire to make a Godly impact locally and globally. He finds satisfaction in watching God change lives and witnessing the power of God at work. Besides his wife and kids, his greatest asset is his enthusiasm, energy, and contagious joy of the Lord. Pastor Dave spent most of his life in the NW. He is a graduate of Redmond High School, Lutheran Bible Institute, Pacific Lutheran University, and Luther Seminary. His hobbies include running, hiking, fitness, watching sports,  and snowboarding. Pastor Dave is readily available to meet you about anywhere for a cup of coffee or a bowl of ice cream.

In the upcoming years, Ethan is eager to push forward in his ambition toward seminary and complete his Masters of Divinity.
